ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS OUTGOING STUDENTS

ERASMUS EXCHANGE

General Information

The students who are interested in participating in the Erasmus exchange program may find out about the application procedures, eligibility and selection criteria, the universities that BU has agreements with, and about everything that needs to be done before going abroad and after returning to BU through Erasmus Office or website.

The Erasmus Office coordinates the selection of the both undergraduate and graduate students for Erasmus exchange programs.

Selection Criterias for Erasmus Exchange:

The student must have satisfactorily completed his/her first year at the University.
Language proficiency on the language of instruction in the destination country by submitting one of the following documents :
-Students who has graduated from a high school where the language of instruction was in that language;
-The student must have taken that language class for 4 semester and received a passing grade of minimum B at Bahcesehir
-The student must hold an intermediate level certificate issued by a language/culture center.
A minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate and a minimum GPA of 2.5 for graduate students.

Language Skills: %50
The student should not have any balance or responsibilities due to Bahcesehir University.

Financial Commitment document regarding their tuition fee payment to Bahcesehir.

General Rules for Erasmus Exchange:

The student will then make his/ her individual application to the partner university.
Students must complete any necessary forms, including those for accommodation, meeting the deadlines set by the partner university.
Upon application, the student will receive a Letter of Acceptance from the International Office of the partner university and then apply for a student visa at the local consulate of that country.
Students must prepare a Learning Agreement in consultation with their Department Erasmus Coordinators at Bahcesehir
Students are responsible for transportation to the partner university and for all living costs and personal expenses while on the exchange.
Students are responsible for applying for and obtaining any visas and residence permits required. The student must pay any fees required for these
Students must have a valid health insurance policy for the country in which they wish to study.
Students have to obey to the rules and regulations of the partner university during their study period abroad
At the completion of the exchange program, the partner university supplies the student with a transcript, which includes all courses taken. The transcript and the signed copy of the Learning Agreement are then evaluated by the student's Faculty advisor at Bahcesehir and the grades are registered to the system.

ERASMUS PLACEMENT

General Information

Erasmus Placements are an initiative of the European Union LLP-programme. It makes mobility scholarships available to students.

Take this opportunity to receive a scholarship for work placement in the Erasmus countries at companies, research institutes or other organizations.

Selection Criterias for Erasmus Placement:

The student must have satisfactorily completed his/her first year at the University.
A minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate and a minimum GPA of 2.5 for graduate students.
