Departments

Bahçeşehir University's Faculty of Law constituted the Institute for Global Understanding of Rule of Law (IGUL) in order to create a common global approach based on the principles of rule of law and to cooperate with professionals with international experience.
IGUL gives great importance to train the police officials and the members of judicial activities. To serve this aim, IGUL is in cooperation with many official and private institutions from many different countries. IGUL organizes many conferences, seminars and certificate programs on various subjects and invites valuable, wise and well-known professors and professionals from different locations of the world. With these, the participants get the opportunity to follow the new regulations of Turkish law and also learn about the comparative law.

IGUL, while trying to create and strengthen a common approach towards rule of law, makes efforts to provide an international academic platform. IGUL has given thousands of certificates to its participants.

The directors of IGUL are Prof. Feridun Yenisey, Prof. Tom Read and Prof. John Sonsteng.
