The Faculty of Science and Literature defines itself as an academic community which enables knowledge to be used in new fields as well as in basic science branches, and perceives education as not only transferring the knowledge to the students but also teaching them the universal values, thinking, discussing concepts. With its 6 departments and 512 students, and its academic staff which places education and research in the center of life, the Faculty places great importance on scientific values and aims to train humans who are equipped, entrepreneur, equipped as required by the our time.

The variety of the courses introduced and the broad perspective of the Faculty, who celebrates its 10th anniversary together with the University itself, is in accordance with the general education philosophy of the university. One can see all dynamism, unorthodoxy, speed, technology and values of the 21st century which enables keeping pace with the constant development. The Faculty who has a innovative vision, broad perspective, and dynamic teaching staff, determined providing an environment where everyone can find a piece of him/herself, express, improve and actualize oneself as a criteria for a healthy academic education. General Education Department operating within the body of the Faculty involves all elective courses of the university and provides courses in the fields of various sciences, art and culture. The aim of the faculty is both equipping the students with a comprehensive education in their field of profession and raising individuals who look after the city, world they live in, possess universal art and cultural values and all elements and competence of being a world citizen. The faculty which adopted a student oriented education does not only provide students with a strong infrastructure but also an opportunity where they can be educated in a high synergetic, warm and positive atmosphere.
