Bu dersin amacı kaynaklarımıza genel bir bakış sağlamaktır (su, hava, ormanlar, toprak, ham maddeler, enerji vb.). Bu kaynakların global ölçekte nasıl ve neden sömürüldüğünün kritik analizi. Bu ders, sürdürülebilir kaynak kullanımı ve yönetiminin bütün olarak anlaşılması için hem doğal hem de sosyal ve ekonomi bilimlerine odaklanacaktır. Doğal kaynaklarımızın kullanımında araç ve tutumların anlaşılması için temel sağlayan sürdürülebilir gelişmeye odaklanılacaktır.
