Mechatronics is a modern engineering discipline that brings together the Mechanical, Electronics, Control, Computer and Software Engineering. Mechatronics Engineers are engaged in the design, and control of electromechanical devices that range from simple consumer goods such as digital cameras or photocopiers to complex systems such as prcision robots used in medical applications or automated production systems.
At present, the Department offers only
- B.S. Program in Mechatronics Engineering
and preparations are under way to start graduate programs in near future.
Research in the Department is concentrated on
- Robotics (Micro and Nano Robots)
- Biomechatronics
- Intelligent Materials
- Automotive Electronic Steering Systems, Hybrid Vehicles)
