The cinema sector in our university has made a great leap in the past 10 years, the number of spectators for national movies has not only caught up with that of foreign films, but even surprassed it and reached record numbers. On the other hand, the employment creation potential and social power of the television sector is as high as in the rest of the world in our country.

The aim of the Film and TV Department is to raise individuals who can design a fiction or documantary audio-visual product, who have the technical know-how to effectively realize all the steps in its production from script to shooting and editing, who are creative, socially-responsible and thus can raise the quality of the sector.

Our department has a program which places theory and practice as complementary and mutually-enrichening spheres rather than as each other's alternatives. In this sense, we provide our students an education environment where scientific research is encouraged and production is shared.
